Gwendolyn was born in Virginia. She was raised in the District of Columbia and
Maryland. She began her nursing career in hospitals focusing on medical-surgical,
float pool, short stay, admissions, labor, delivery, recovery, postpartum, and special
care nursery nursing units.
She graduated from Anne Arundel Community College in 2000 with an Associates
of Science in Nursing. She obtained her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from
Regis University in 2010. Gwen also obtained her Master of Science in Nursing,
specializing in Nursing Education in 2014 from Walden University. During this
time, she worked as a Clinical nursing instructor for Towson University. She also
worked as a Clinical Nurse Educator at Meritus Medical Center while obtaining
her Family Nurse Practitioner, Primary Care Post Graduate certificate from Purdue
University in 2021.
Gwendolyn joined The Children's Doctor in September 2023. She is board certified
with the American Nurses Credentialing Center.
Her special interest is working with children of all ages to enhance their health and
well-being.
She enjoys traveling, reading, and spending time with her family and friends.
