Dr. Garnand was born in Hagerstown, Maryland.  She was raised in Smithsburg where she graduated from Smithsburg High School as valedictorian of her class.  

She attended Lycoming College in Williamsport, PA where her major was in biology and minor in chemistry.  While at Lycoming, she played Division III softball. Dr. Garnand went on to West Virginia University School of Medicine in Morgantown, WV.  She completed her pediatric residency at Penn State Milton S. Hershey Center in 2020.  Upon completion of residency, she started as a general pediatrician with Keystone Pediatrics.  She also served as Vice Chair of the Department of Pediatrics at the Chambersburg Hospital.

She is certified with the American Board of Pediatrics and a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.

Dr. Garnand joined The Children’s Doctor in January 2025.

Her special medical interests are dermatology, neonatology, infectious disease, and vaccine advocacy.

In her spare time, she enjoys gardening and being a plant mom.  She loves reading and will never turn down a good cup of coffee. 

She is married and has one son.
